Bud Snow
Bud Snow lives on a hobby farm in Lawrencetown Nova Scotia. He received his education at Dalhousie University. Bud taught school prior to a 30 year career in policing. He worked in several specialized units including polygraph, training, financial crime, joint force operations and community policing. Bud participated in many international policing experiences which included peacekeeping in Kosovo, Darfur Sudan, and Libya. The Libyan mission involved police training assessment as well as the development and delivery of a train the trainer course. He also managed and facilitated UN mission training for police officers of many African Union countries.
Bud volunteered as an election observer in Ukraine. He worked with the Carter Center for Democracy as the security adviser for elections in Sudan and the South Sudan Referendum. This was a most memorable experience working directly with President Carter. The opportunity to work with police officers, military, NGO’s and community leaders has been a rewarding experience. Bud was honoured to have been awarded the Canadian Peacekeeping Medal, UN Peacekeeping Medal, African Union Peacekeeping Medal and European Union Peacekeeping Medal.
