Scott Beazley
Scott R. Beazley is an international legal consultant with over three decades of experience in criminal law, border enforcement, and rule-of-law capacity building. A former Provincial Crown Attorney, Federal Prosecutor and Counsel with the Department of Justice Canada, he has advised on national security, proceeds of crime/money laundering, crimes against humanity/war crimes, border enforcement, and complex international cooperation matters. Scott has served as a legal expert for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime across Africa and Asia, designing and delivering high-impact training programs for prosecutors, judges, police, and customs officials. He has authored key UNODC guidance materials on police/prosecutor cooperation, role and status of prosecutors, and mutual legal assistance and extradition, and has led initiatives strengthening international legal cooperation and institutional capacity in anti-corruption, border enforcement, trafficking in persons/smuggling of migrants and national security. Based in Halifax, he continues to support governments and international organizations through strategic advisory services, legislative development, and advanced training in criminal justice cooperation.
