Taban Christopher Duke

Taban Christopher Duke is a seasoned international humanitarian professional with over 14 years of hands-on experience in humanitarian protection programming, including more than six years in leading and managing complex, multi-sectoral projects from inception to successful delivery. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to achieve impactful results in high-pressure, resource-constrained, and conflict-affected environments. 

Taban has worked across civil society organizations, international NGOs, and United Nations agencies, including UNICEF, USAID MELS, Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the Humanitarian Development Consortium (HDC) and now the Dallaire Institute. He has successfully led USAID and EU-funded projects with budgets exceeding $1 million, bringing together a strong blend of programmatic leadership, financial stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. 

His core competencies include organizational management, team leadership and mentoring, strategic partnerships, and community-centered programming. These skills have enabled him to deliver inclusive and sustainable protection outcomes for vulnerable populations, with a particular focus on children and youth. 

Taban holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies from Kampala International University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in organizational management at Andrews University, United States.
