Six Years On: Reflections on Preventing Recruitment and Use of Children in Northern Nigeria

In 2019, the Dallaire Institute team travelled to Maiduguri, Nigeria, to jointly conduct a training with the Center for Civilians in Conflict's (CIVIC) country team. Together, we trained the Nigerian Armed Forces (NAF) and Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) personnel on preventing the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict. Six years later, we sat down with CIVIC's Senior Community Engagement Manager, Bulus Mungopark, to hear about the impact the training had.
